The 20th century gave rise to industry and an explosion of technologies that heralded significant changes and an unprecedented transformation in world history.
The unseen principalities/dark forces embraced it completely and used their power and influence to corrupt religion, corporate business, politics, bring about wars, social experiments, population control, evolution theories, and further more, the promotion of atheism, communism, natziism, secularism and humanism which continues to this day. Their ultimate aim is to penetrate society with luciferian ideology in order to destroy the inerrant word of God, to distort the truth of our Lord Jesus Christ and subtly diminish and destroy the Bible. How much damage has this caused and has this paradigm shift given birth to an widespread subjective morality? Do we follow Gods absolute moral law or do we have a morality of a personal taste?
For instance in the realm of ones mind, we may assume that it's okay to indulge in pornography, but the word of God tells us that this is sexual immorality.
(1 Corinthians 6:18)
Some may assume that it's okay to casually use profanity but the bible says otherwise (Colossians 3:8.)
What about paying taxes ? When someone asked Jesus about this, he said 'render to caesar what is caesars and give to God what is Gods'. (Mark 12:17)
Perhaps we may find ourselves chatting idly with others and become entangled in gossip, but again Gods word tells us that slanderous talk is wrong. (Ephesians 4:29).
Then there are others who assume it's okay to lie for our own gain, but the bible tells us the Devil is the father of lies. (john 8:44)
There are also those that believe in a Heaven but don't believe in a Hell. They don't want to believe that such a dreadful place really exists as that suits their way of thinking and keeps them in a comfort zone. However the bible tells us that this dreadful place does exist and mentions it several times. Jesus himself (known as a hellfire preacher)
spoke more on the subject of hell than he did about Heaven as he understood the importance of this subject more than anyone. Still, there are others that do believe in hell but tend to have a very detached and somewhat superficial understanding on this subject, which is also a very dangerous ! When you mention the word hell , the first names on their lips is usually Hitler or Stalin, rapists and murderers, etc. The more evil they are, the greater their punishment.
Although It is certainly true that these deeply evil souls will go there for all eternity, as shocking as it may sound, there are many others who are also going to end up in hell because of a detached mindset of 'subjective morality'. Of course the Bible also speaks about different levels of punishment. But this perspective takes us out of a proper relationship with God and deceives us to the point where we can't tell the difference between what's right and wrong. Therefore if our morality is relative, then surely the conscience is just subjective taste, a personal opinion ! In essence, those that live in subjective morality, lower the standard set out by God in the bible and subconsciously create their own moral ceiling, and as a result, they live how they like, ultimately separating themselves from God laws and statutes.
What about religion will that get us to Heaven? (see my article/blog on World Religion, which one).
Are you of the opinion that your religion is the only truth and righteous path to God. Are you Roman Catholic and think Protestants are heretics ? Are you Protestant and think the same about Catholics? Do you unconsciously link your religion into other aspects of your life, giving life to a spirit of condemnation and hatred! Do you have indignation and condemnation in your heart for your neighbour that practise's another religion ? How much do we really know about someone else's religion or even their way of life? Some are very religious, but their theology is flawed and is not of the true God of creation but in fact the god of this world, ie Satan, AKA The Devil.
We need to remember the word Christian is very much linked and synonymous with love, not hatred ! God who sees everything says to us; the neighbour we hate is his creation, and If he can forgive us then we must also learn to forgive them - yes even our worst enemies! I believe we all need a more serious self examination of our lives, and a complete analysis of our iniquity. We need to juxtapose our morality model with Gods commandments and more importantly realise that God is not going to wink at the sins we hide in our hearts, nor is he going to tick the box of a lukewarm faith.
It's not enough in this life just to be decent, and it's not enough just to be kind and give some loose change to the homeless. It's not enough that we attend a Sunday service and live a secular lifestyle the rest of the week, and it's not enough just to love our family and friends whilst hating our enemies. Gods morality is true right and wrong and how we think of morality has become a kind of sociology — and if right and wrong is unclear in our minds, then there's no way to understand if we are ever making any real moral progress.
Subjective or relative morality allows us to rule supreme in that WE Shall Decide, about what is right and what is wrong, or what's good and what is bad. Accountability will be only to ourselves and each other, and as a principle we shall seek out our own daily happiness and look after number one! Subjective morality feeds into the very fabric of our everyday daily lives and is a very dangerous thing. It can strip away any hope of repentance and salvation by cutting us off from the living God of creation and by definition will sentence us to a place of outer darkness.
We need a serious diagnosis of the way we think about things. If we continue to draw on our conclusions from our hearts or a secular point of view, we are going to end up far from the truth and ultimately shipwrecked and deceived. Many modern day satanic ideologies have penetrated their way so deeply into society, that they are now accepted as normal, which is the point of no return. Gods moral laws are the same today as they have always been and remain steadfast and absolute! God lays out his moral standard in the Bible for our own good and our edification and to keep and protect us from sin, destruction, and what follows in the afterlife. If we follow our own moral code, it's impossible not to sin, and if we die in our sins, it will also be impossible for God not to punish those sins, therefore leading to our banishment from his kingdom with no parole.
Judgement Day is coming to us all, and the Lord Jesus Christ will be our judge.
If we live out our lives with a spirit of repentance and we seek Christ as our saviour, his grace and mercy will overrule our judgement and we can be rewarded with an eternal life in his divine presence. Subjective or relative morality is a very very dangerous thing and only a conviction of the Holy Spirit of God will give us the wisdom and discernment we need to overcome the world and reach the finish line with a deep certainty in our hearts.
In simple terms, repent for your sins and accept Christ as your saviour, study the Holy Scriptures and claim your true identity and salvation which belongs to you, through the grace of God.
In Jesus name Amen.
